NERD Event Organizer Agreement

NERD agrees to facilitate fiscal sponsorship of events organized by those it enters into this agreement with. NERD agrees to facilitate:

  • Bank Account administration
  • Insurance umbrella per event
  • Venue and Vendor contract review and execution

NERD Event Organizers agree to:

  • Submit any request at least one month before its due date to the NERD Organizers Service Desk
  • Entrust NERD with ultimate authority and ownership over event bank account funds
  • Make no agreement on behalf of NERD without specific written authorization
  • Release funds from the Event Bank Account to NERD, per event receiving NERD insurance and venue through contract execution by NERD, according to the following event size:
    • 0-300 attendees: $500
    • 301-500 attendees: $1000
    • 501-1000 attendees: $2000
    • 1001+ attendees: Custom agreement

An Event Organizer enters into this agreement by submitting funding toward their first event. NERD accepts Event Organizer into agreement and enters itself into this agreement by:

  • Creating a Bank Account to hold funding for Event Organizer's event
  • Depositing Event Organizer's submitted funding into the above Bank Account
  • Creating a PayPal account for Event Organizer's event and connecting it to the above Bank Account
  • Provisioning permissioned access to NERD collaboration tooling
  • Notifying Event Organizer of above mentioned accounts and by providing access to the above PayPal account

NERD declines entering into an agreement by written email, creating no account as above, depositing no funds, and returning fund submission to its sender.

Additional Event Organizers may be accepted into an existing agreement, with approval from the most senior Event Organizer in the existing agreement, and with NERD approval by submitting a request to the previously mentioned Organizers Service Desk.
