The NERD Summit is held in the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts, which has strong communities focused on WordPress, Drupal, programming, coding for public good, and MakerSpaces respectively. The following are the 2014 sizes of the two largest involved communities.
- Local Meetup.com Group has 434 Western Mass Web Developers/Designers has 755 members
- Local Drupal Users Group has 272 members primarily interested in Drupal.
Have a presence in the Five College Area
Held during Fall Spring semester, the NERD Summit venue is home to a variety of educational institutions, including the Five College Consortium, a flagship research university, two Seven Sisters women’s colleges, and a host of community colleges.
